On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the University of Tetova, the Faculty of Arts, through study programs: Figurative Art, Musical Art and Dramatic Art, in cooperation with professors and students organized several activities in honor of this jubilee year. The exhibition of paintings by students of the Faculty of Arts, respectively of the study program of Figurative Arts, has been opened at the Cultural Center in Tetovo on December 10. Professor Jëlldëz Asani at the opening of this exhibition (on December 10, 2019), said that now after 25 years the University of Tetova has turned into a genuine center of education according to her, since the foundation UT has encountered good artistic performance in various profiles, processes of further development and cultivation art, for which students and professors of our faculty have always proved their professional work. “All the work in itself carries ideas and messages, trying to find the meaning of art in their lives and to assert different artistic experiences. Students participating in this activity represent the heterogeneous artistic group in terms of artistic disposition, spiritual interiority, imaginative instincts and creative individuality, with all its forms of freedom. The differences between the creators are found in those relations of figurative expression also influenced by the circumstances and characteristics of the contemporary artistic mindset”, – said Professor Jëlldëz Asani.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Mr. Nafi Jashari, his speech started with a retrospective, going back to 1994, the year that coincides with the foundation of the University of Tetova, that described as marked for the Albanians, expressing his conviction that along with all the vicissitudes, the future of our University will be bright. “It cannot be forgotten what happened on December 17, 1994, when Professor Fadil Sulejmani, along with other Albanian intellectuals, had the courage to found this University. At that time, Kosovo was occupied state, Albania was in transition while a large number of students enrolled at the University of Prishtina were unable to continue their studies and thus, we were forced to educate the younger generations, who were confused where to continue their education; to found the University of Tetova and we will be grateful to all Albanians who contributed to this cause”, – said Prof. Mr. Nafi Jashari.
After the exhibition followed the concert with vocal- instrumental music, prepared by the students and professors of the study program of Musical Art. At the opening of the conference to the participants with greeting speech addressed the Head of the Study Program of Music Art, Professor Bajramali Idrizi, who congratulated the students for their work during their studies, also said that today we can very proudly say that these 25 years of our University journey that over the years have been painful, full of sacrifices, but today we can say: 25 Years University, 25 Years Value. The activities of the Faculty of Arts were concluded on December 11, 2019, with the theatrical performance of Chekhov “Mblesëria”, prepared by the class of Prof. Mr. Senad Abdulit.
