He has traveled from New York, United States of America, to conduct his next project in front of students and faculty at the Faculty of Arts (UT) and to share his artistic experience, especially with the students, to create collaborations, and to encourage students’ curiosity in discovering new works.
In the meeting held on October 30, 2023, with the leaders of the University of Tetovo, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and his colleagues, Mr. Xhafa expressed gratitude for the welcome at this institution, which, according to him, is a multidimensional work. In this friendly meeting, the need for cooperation between educational institutions and personalities who represent Albanian art and culture in various parts of the world was emphasized.
The Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Arts, also the curator of the aforementioned project, Prof. Nora Halimi, states, “It is an honor and pleasure that we have welcomed Sislej Xhafa at the University of Tetovo, at the Faculty of Arts, one of the most renowned names in the global contemporary art scene, an artist with a body of work represented in prestigious galleries, museums, and collections worldwide. Sislej Xhafa has been at the Faculty of Arts since October 30, 2023, and will be here until November 3, 2023, to conduct a workshop with students in the Figurative Art study program titled ‘The Wheel of Love,’ an important artistic project.”
