Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, together with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Shefik Shehu received in a meeting the ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Kazuya Otsuka. Initially, Rector Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, on behalf of himself and on behalf of the University, thanked Ambassador Kazuya Otsuka for the time he has allocated to be today in the premises of our University.

Then, he briefly presented the journey of the University of Tetova, from its foundation in 1994 to the present day developments. Among other things, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, said that after all the challenges and complete consolidation, our University has now created collaborations with many national and international universities. He said that it would be in the interest of our University to create possible cooperation with Japanese universities in the field of staff and student exchange, scientific research projects and other areas of mutual interest.

Japanese Ambassador Otsuka said that this is his first visit to a university in our country. He expressed his willingness to create cooperation contacts between UT and Japanese universities.

Also, during this meeting was discussed the possibility of promoting Japanese culture at the University of Tetova, as well as possible visits and meetings of Japanese delegations with our students.
